At 31 I kept coming home from work with tired eyes, so I finally got them checked. Turns out I needed glasses, and my eyes didn’t even match: −1.25 in one and −0.75 in the other.
Living and traveling in Asia, I found I could get really high-quality glasses for a fair price. Soon I had three pairs: one for the sun, one for blue light at the computer at night, and one for everything else. Carrying them around and swapping them all day was a pain.
So we built NOVARO: prescription lenses that turn into sunglasses outside and filter blue light on screens. Go climbing, sit in the sun, work late, all in one pair.
Great glasses shouldn’t cost a fortune, so every frame is $75.
